Fethiye Kelebek vadisi (Butterfly Valley) is situated at the foothill of Babadağ (Father Mountain) the worlds famous montain for paragliding and nominated for preservation as world heritage. A Beautiful sandy beach at a bay from the valley, in the form of narrow canyon stretching over approx 3-4 km, and the valley’s cliffs are 350-400 M in height. A walk through the valley, a stream, carrying fresh water from the mountain spring in a nearby village called Faralya to the sea.
Due to its natural beauty, Butterfly valley is an important ecotourism attraction place in Turkey, great for picnics and day trips. You can take a shuttle boat trip from Belcekız beach. There are also many water sport activites from scuba diving to caoeing that can be arranged for you by one of the local trip offices.
